Mechanical Maintenance Technician at Abbott Weesp

• You are at least 18 years old.

• Preferably a completed MBO level 3 or 4 education in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics;

• Relevant experience in maintenance, mechatronics, or process technology;

• Knowledge of measurement and control technology and/or industrial automation;

• Experience with SAP and MS Excel is a plus;

• In possession of, or willing to obtain in the short term: VCA-VOL;

• A solution-oriented, independent, and result-oriented working attitude;

• Experience within a GMP environment is a plus;

• Good command of the Dutch and English languages.

For our Maintenance department in Weesp, we are looking for a: Mechanical Maintenance Technician

You will be working in our Maintenance department, which consists of a Maintenance Manager, Teamlead Technicians & Planning, Maintenance Planners, Maintenance Technicians, and a number of hired colleagues. The department manages the maintenance of production and facility installations, ranging from emergency repairs to large-scale maintenance shutdowns.

In this role, you will perform mechanical and instrumental maintenance and overhaul work on both modern and older installations. You will work closely with operators, installation managers, and colleagues both within and outside the department. Additionally, you will ensure correct reporting of performed work and contribute to a safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of maintenance assignments and projects.

Operationally, you report to Maintenance Planning, and functionally to the Teamlead Technicians & Planning.

• Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on various installations;

• Supervising and coordinating the activities of contractors and hired colleagues;

• Working on both modern high-tech installations and older machines;

• Recording and reporting activities according to GMP guidelines;

• Independently delivering completed work to the client;

• Actively contributing to the optimal functioning of installations;

• Supporting maintenance planning where necessary;

• Participating in on-call and/or standby shifts.
