The role

All sorts of products from different departments must be placed in a single customer's crate as efficiently as possible. That is a puzzle that you, as a logistics support employee, enjoy solving together with your colleagues. For example, you organize the order pickers' route so that heavy products come before the chips. This way, the customer isn't left at home with a bag of crushed chips.

You maintain the overview in the warehouse. You monitor which products are coming in and what is being ordered by customers. Are there products not in stock according to the system? Then you check if the product will arrive later, or if it might be an error in the system. If the product is indeed not present, you try to find a comparable product. Furthermore, you ensure that order picking happens as smoothly as possible. You optimize the route that the order pickers travel, so they can collect orders as quickly as possible.

Alongside your regular duties, you are always busy improving the process. For example, you might contribute to a project to see how new trolleys can be deployed in the warehouse. Or perhaps how the current trolleys can be used more efficiently. As a logistics support employee, you also contribute to the best message regarding:

Even though you and your colleagues do not see the customer, you are still customer-oriented. You are a close-knit team and always look together at how things can be even better.
