As a Fire Detection Service Technician, you play a crucial role in the fire safety of our customers. You ensure that fire detection systems function optimally and comply with applicable standards and regulations. Thanks to your expertise, our customers can rely on a safe and reliable fire protection solution.

You will join a team of experienced specialists and work daily on challenging installations in diverse environments, such as office buildings, industrial sites, hospitals, data centers, and logistics centers.

As a Fire Detection Service Technician, you are responsible for the maintenance, inspection, testing, and troubleshooting of fire detection systems.

Your duties include

• Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on fire alarm systems.
• Locating, analyzing, and resolving faults in fire detection systems.
• Testing and checking detectors, alarms, cabling, and fire alarm control panels.
• Advising customers on the technical condition and possible optimizations of their fire safety systems.
• Preparing service reports and documenting performed work.
• Supporting upgrades, expansions, and modernizations of existing installations.
• Collaborating with colleagues from Service, Projects, and Sales to provide optimal support to customers.
• Ensuring installations comply with applicable safety regulations and standards.

You independently plan and carry out service activities on-site at customer locations. You are the technical point of contact for the customer and ensure professional and customer-oriented service.

Through your technical expertise and problem-solving abilities, you know how to quickly identify the cause of faults and offer appropriate solutions. You work according to the highest safety standards and actively contribute to a safe working environment for yourself, your colleagues, and our customers.

You have a passion for technology and fire safety and get energy from solving technical issues for customers.

In addition, you possess:

• A completed technical education in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics, Electronics, or a similar field.
• Experience with fire alarm systems, fire detection systems, or other technical security systems.
• Knowledge of or affinity with fire safety standards and regulations.
• Good IT skills and an interest in network-based systems.
• A valid B driving license.
• A VCA certificate or the willingness to obtain this through Johnson Controls.
• Good communication skills in Dutch.
• Basic knowledge of English is a plus.
• A customer-oriented, independent, and solution-oriented working attitude.
