Requirements

What we're looking for

A background in installation technology, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering.
KLI-A certification is a must; KLI-B/C is a plus.
Experience with HVAC systems, climate installations, or control technology.
Understanding of diagrams, air handling, cooling, or measurement and control components.
Accuracy, technical insight, and good documentation skills.
Good command of Dutch and basic knowledge of English.

Nice to have

Interest in digitalization, automation, and learning BMS software.

The role

Location: Gorinchem

Do you have experience in installation technology and want to make the step towards smart building automation? Do you have KLI-A (or B/C) and do you enjoy working with HVAC systems, control technology, and modern technology? Then you can grow into a specialized role within Building Management Systems (BMS) at Johnson Controls.

In Gorinchem, we work on projects where climate installations, data, automation, and sustainability come together. You will combine your practical experience from installation technology with smart software solutions and help make buildings more efficient and energy-efficient.

What you'll do

As an Instrumentation & Control Engineer, you will work on the design, configuration, and commissioning of advanced building management systems. You will take a central role within HVAC and climate projects.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

Designing building management systems (BMS) with a focus on HVAC automation
Translating customer and project specifications into functional BMS designs
Preparing and reviewing:
- control concepts
- IO lists
- network and system architecture
Parameterizing and configuring BMS platforms (such as Metasys)
You will therefore combine your installation knowledge with modern software, data, and building automation.
