Project Engineer Tracks

We offer you a challenging and independent full-time/part-time position in and around the beautiful city of The Hague. The position is rewarded in salary group 8 or 9 of the HTM collective labor agreement (depending on education and experience, you will enter as an Engineer or as a Senior Engineer) with a corresponding salary between € 4,065.- and € 6,159.- gross per month for a full-time employment.

HTM's Engineering Department is constantly in motion; a lot is happening within the various specialisms. At the moment, this requires more capacity focused on the Tracks discipline.

In this position, you are the point of contact during the preparation and execution of projects. This includes, among other things, the expansion of our track network and major maintenance to the rails and stops. You ensure that all necessary technical information for the project is available to all stakeholders and meets the specified quality requirements.

• You will independently set up, develop, and improve technical designs, specifications, and (execution) drawings

• You prepare and check estimates and budgets

• You handle permits and decision documents in the form of reports, health & safety plans, risk assessments (RI&E), and project inspection reports

• You develop choice scenarios with technical variants for the purpose of optimal execution and delivery of the project, you advise on this, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders

• You have an advisory and supportive role regarding research and innovations for advisors and specialists of Strategic Asset Management

It is important that you can work in (larger) project teams, take on a coordinating role within them, and safeguard HTM's interests. Furthermore, you actively contribute to making the Engineering Department a knowledge center within the organization: the place people come to for advice, smart and high-quality designs, and solutions.
