Where will you work?
Hogan Lovells Cadwalader is one of the largest international law firms and has more than 35 offices in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and the United States. Worldwide, more than 2800 legal professionals work at Hogan Lovells Cadwalader, of which approximately 70 are lawyers, (candidate) civil law notaries, tax lawyers, and paralegals in Amsterdam.
Because of this, Hogan Lovells Cadwalader Amsterdam offers "the best of both worlds"; it combines a high-quality global environment with the advantages of a firm with an informal atmosphere and short lines of communication. We provide our clients with clear, practical, and high-quality advice through a collaborative approach. We quickly develop actionable and achievable solutions for the complex challenges our clients face.
Innovation & Inclusion and Responsible Business are important priorities for our firm. Hogan Lovells Cadwalader is among the top 5 most innovative law firms in North America and Europe. At Hogan Lovells Cadwalader, you will get the chance to shape both your own future and that of our clients. Doing pro bono and volunteer work is in our people's DNA. In this way, we take our responsibility to give something back to society.
Our people are the key to success and therefore we strive to attract and retain the most talented people in all regions of our global practice.
What can you expect?
As a working student, you will be part of our Litigation unit for approximately three days a week for a period of three months. The lawyers in the unit represent (international) clients (ranging from scale-ups to multinationals) in sectors such as tech, life sciences, financial services, and mobility. They advise and litigate (in both individual cases and class actions) on, among other things, commercial contracts, corporate law disputes, and product liability. The lawyers in the unit also advise (pro bono) in the field of sustainability.
Your tasks are broad and diverse, ranging from analyzing various legal issues, writing internal memos, blogs, and draft advice, to preparing presentations. Additionally, you are of course welcome at all our social activities. This ensures that everything is covered during your working student period, giving you a good idea of what it is like to be part of Hogan Lovells Cadwalader.
