The role

Do you want to build the future of chick transport worldwide? Do you believe that the journey from hatchery to poultry farmer is at least as important as the hatching itself? Then this role as Lead Engineer HatchTraveller at HatchTech is for you.

In this full-time position (internally we call this role Product Group Owner HatchTraveller), you are responsible for the further development of our HatchTraveller product group. Together with the currently small but growing team of 2 people, you will work on innovative and robust road transport solutions that contribute to animal welfare, chick quality, and operational efficiency. In doing so, you look not only at today's means of transport, but especially at what chick transport should look like in five or ten years.

You are primarily a technical trailblazer. Someone who understands the content, thinks along, helps build, and assists colleagues further. You provide direction based on knowledge, experience, and common sense, not from models or hierarchy. You are pragmatic and down-to-earth. Naturally, you develop a clear vision for the future of the product, but in addition, you are someone who gets things done together with the team.

What you'll do

As Lead Engineer HatchTraveller, you drive the development of this product group. You bear responsibility for the technical management of the current model range. And you develop further! You translate complex energy systems used to create an optimal climate for day-old chicks into smart, modular, energy-efficient solutions suitable for mobile applications. Because you understand the complexity of road transport and the necessity for robust products. Your responsibilities include, among other things:

  • Developing a vision and roadmap for the HatchTraveller product group.

  • Directing and supporting engineers through content, experience, and technical expertise.

  • Management of the current model range

  • Assessing customer feedback and translating it into improvements.

  • Initiating (and prioritizing) new concepts, innovations, and investment proposals to management.

You work from the principle of modularity and standardization: products must be deployable, scalable, and easy to apply worldwide. A bit like IKEA, but for day-old chick transport.

Who are we looking for?

You are an experienced technical specialist who enjoys reducing complex issues to smart and practical solutions.

Additionally, you recognize yourself in the following:

  • You have your own vision and dare to make choices.

  • You dare to think beyond the status quo (unorthodox creative ideas are allowed space).

  • You quickly distinguish between main and secondary matters.

  • You are entrepreneurial and take ownership.

  • You can make technical complexity simple.

  • You are a team player who knows how to connect people.

What you can expect from us

At HatchTech, you get the chance to play an important role in the future of our products and those of our customers. We feed the world of tomorrow. In addition, we have excellent employment conditions to offer:

  • A full-time job that won't get boring for the next 10 years.

In addition, you can count on:

  • A key position within an innovative international organization.

  • Plenty of freedom to provide direction to your product group.

  • A team of dedicated engineers in the Netherlands and Ukraine.

  • Working on sustainable solutions with global impact.

  • Room for initiative, entrepreneurship, and personal growth.

Are you our Lead Engineer HatchTraveller?

Do you want to use your knowledge of road transport systems to further shape a product group? Then we would love to meet you.

You can call us or send a message. Hendrik Kemp (manager) will gladly and happily answer questions about the position. The number is +31 318 512 511. We can tell you everything about our people and the possibilities and are curious about your wishes and ambitions.

Are you already completely convinced? Then use the application button. We look forward to receiving your application!
