The role
At De Vries Scheepsbouw Makkum, the pearl of the Frisian economy, we build exceptional Feadships: world-class yachts, fully customized to the client's wishes and finished to perfection. From our modern shipyard on the IJsselmeer, we proudly work on projects up to 120 meters. Every detail counts, and everyone's craftsmanship contributes to the final result. Together, we realize yachts that garner admiration worldwide. That is your contribution to the construction of a Feadship.
What you'll do
As a Carpenter/Marine Interior Builder you are responsible for installing custom interiors aboard yachts. You work with components manufactured in the workshop and ensure they are assembled according to the drawings.
You install furniture and interior components and check whether dimensions and fit are correct. Because practice may deviate from the drawing, you assess at that moment what is necessary to make components fit. You adjust components where necessary and coordinate this with colleagues and the team leader.
You work on different parts of the yacht and deal with varying working conditions on board. You are responsible for your own activities and contribute to the delivery of the interior.
