The role
Your contribution to the construction of a Feadship
In an ultra-modern dock hall and well-equipped workshops, we have space for yachts up to 160 meters, both new builds and refits. Through a mix of experience and innovative knowledge, we build the most beautiful and largest yachts here.
Technology forms the backbone of every yacht and is present everywhere: at the design office, the manufacturing companies, and the finishing yards. Without technology, no superyacht.
This is what you will do as a Superyacht Fitter
You will become part of the Construction department. This department is responsible for various assembly activities on board the yachts. This can involve components and installations that are part of the superyacht's basic construction (deck hatches, mast components, anchors, sliding doors, and more) or the so-called entertainment systems on board (swimming pools, jacuzzis, hot tubs, and more).
As a Superyacht Fitter, you are responsible for the following activities:
- Preparing mechanical and assembly work in the workshop for commissioning on board.
- Assembling and installing various components and systems according to drawings.
- Assembling the mast of the superyacht.
When something runs differently than planned or a technical challenge arises, you know how to propose and apply the right solution through your experience.
What you bring
- A completed MBO level 2 or 3 education in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or a similar field.
- Several years of relevant work experience in installing mechanical components or systems.
- You are able to read and interpret technical drawings.
- You carry out your assembly work according to high-quality standards.
- You have a positive and solution-oriented work attitude.
Because we have been able to welcome a number of new colleagues over the past few months who do not yet have much experience, we are now looking for somewhat more experienced technicians. Ideally, you have experience in the maritime sector.

At Royal Van Lent Shipyard, we want you to not only flourish in your career but also enjoy a healthy balance between work and private life. Therefore, we have put together an attractive and complete offer:
- A salary between € 3,300 and € 4,000 gross per month based on full-time employment;
- Stable future: A one-year contract with a view to permanent employment.
