The role

As Resource Coordinator Terminal, you are responsible for the personnel capacity behind a complex and dynamic operation. You continuously switch between the interests of employees, supervisors, management, and the operation. Sick calls, leave requests, peak periods, delays, or changing volumes ensure that no day goes according to plan. That is exactly what gives you energy.

You oversee the whole picture, keep a cool head, and make decisions that are not always popular, but are necessary to keep the operation running. You understand that a healthy work-life balance is important, but you also know when the company's interests demand priority. That is why we are looking for someone who stands firm, dares to set boundaries, and is not easily rattled.

You are the link between the operation, supervisors, foremen, drivers, lashing crews, flaggers, and the Resource Manager. Thanks to your foresight and decisiveness, the terminal continues to operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.

Be a part of DFDS. Be a part of the movement.

What you'll do

  • Monitoring daily personnel capacity so that the terminal remains operational 24/7.

  • Switching quickly in the event of sickness, leave, peak periods, delays, and other operational changes.

  • Weighing the interests of employees, supervisors, management, and operations to arrive at the right staffing choices.

  • Deploying employees from the flexible pool and organizing additional capacity when necessary.

  • Identifying capacity risks and taking immediate action to ensure the continuity of the operation.

  • Processing leave registrations and monitoring personnel deployment in the short and medium term.

  • Responsible for the capacity overview of approximately 150 permanent employees, 35 flexible employees, and 8 BBL trainees.

What are we looking for?

  • You maintain an overview when pressure increases and priorities are constantly changing.

  • You are decisive, can deal with resistance, and dare to set clear boundaries.

  • You are not easily thrown off balance and know how to objectively weigh different interests against each other.
