Our vacancy:
Teamleader Customs with focus on administration & process optimization (40 hours)
No two days are the same in our dynamic, logistical world, where everything revolves around customs activities. You can see this reflected in the varied tasks and in the combination of operational oversight, administrative accuracy, and process-oriented working that this position requires.
Together with the team of Declarants, Assistant Declarants, Administrative Staff, and interns, you ensure the correct and efficient handling of customs formalities and permits, such as import, export, and EMCS declarations. You draw up clear dossier instructions for handling import and export transactions and ensure that accompanying documentation is processed completely, timely, and in accordance with agreements.
You identify irregularities and take the lead in this by drafting objections, settlements, and petitions. Additionally, you maintain active contact with customs regarding requests and applications, such as special rates, import duties, and other fiscal and customs-technical issues. In doing so, you monitor administrative quality and compliance with procedures.
Your focus as Teamleader Customs lies – together with your fellow Teamleader – primarily on:
The management and coaching of the team, so that employees can function optimally, continue to develop, and handle administrative tasks and processes carefully.
The coordination of activities, whereby you ensure an efficient and effective division of labor and clear processes.
Customer satisfaction and service level, through periodic contact with internal and external customers. You discuss the service level, identify bottlenecks, and propose improvements. For customers, you are the first point of contact.
The monitoring, checking, and improving of procedures and agreements. You continuously look at whether activities can be organized more smartly, efficiently, and effectively and take the initiative for process optimizations.
What do we find important?
Collaboration – Customer orientation – Proactive – Result-oriented - Stress-resistant – Committed
