The role

The Digital Process Excellence (DPE) team is part of Corporate Services Transformation within the advisory practice of KPMG. The team focuses on the structural improvement and automation of business processes using AI, data and digital technologies, across a wide spectrum of processes: from Finance to HR and beyond.

As a Manager, you play a central role in the execution of complex assignments in both the public and private sectors. You combine your knowledge of methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, with a strong focus on Process Mining for unlocking data from source systems, building event logs and performing advanced process analyses, supported by AI‑ and automation technologies such as RPA to realize data-driven process improvements. You work closely with clients and stakeholders and actively contribute to expanding existing relationships and identifying new opportunities.

You are substantively strong in the field of technological and operational process improvement and translate innovative ideas into concrete solutions. Within the team, you take a coaching role towards consultants and actively participate in projects, deploying both substantive expertise and project management skills.

Additionally, you will be given the space to support and further develop (sub)projects and initiatives, for example in the field of new use cases, applications or the further development of AI and automation technologies within our Digital Stack.

We actively invest in your professional growth. You will receive guidance that matches your role and experience level, with room for targeted education and training – from deepening knowledge in digital transformations to further development of leadership skills such as stakeholder management and coaching.

"We are a driven team that not only advises on process improvements and the application of innovative technologies, but also contributes tangibly by implementing changes directly."

What you'll do

Business processes are fundamentally different to set up due to the arrival of AI. As a Manager, you translate (AI) innovations into concrete business impact via data-driven process improvement with Process Mining. You unlock process data, further expand event logs and deploy analyses to realize improvements and implement them sustainably. You do this in close collaboration with stakeholders where you generate your demonstrable results. With AI as an accelerator, you make the difference between process improvement on paper and ensure lasting change in practice. In this role, you are responsible for:

  • Establishing guiding thought leadership within the Process Mining domain.
  • Translating market developments into new propositions and strategic initiatives - both for our clients and for the further development of our own practice.
  • Leading multidisciplinary Process Mining projects at large organizations in both the public and private sectors, with a focus on successful execution and results.
  • Contributing to the design and realization of digital transformation‑roadmaps
  • Solving strategic and operational issues through the use of Lean Six Sigma, data and digital technologies, with a strong focus on data-driven process improvement.
  • Leveraging and expanding your client network.
  • Independently identifying, creating, and securing new assignments.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor at board and executive levels.
