Do you want to gain practical experience as a student in our Regulatory & Criminal Enforcement practice? Then this working student position at De Brauw in Amsterdam might be what you are looking for! As a working student, you will work approximately 15 hours per week, contributing long-term to ongoing matters. This is in contrast to a full-time two-month student internship.
Why choose a role as a working student in Regulatory & Criminal Enforcement?
You will gain relevant work experience that aligns with your studies, build a valuable network, and develop essential skills in multidisciplinary teams at a leading law firm. You will be guided by experts in the fields of regulation and criminal enforcement. You will receive personal guidance with direct feedback and learn to tackle complex legal issues by working on real files.
Our Regulatory & Criminal Enforcement practice specializes in the most sensitive and complex matters at the intersection of companies, regulators, and criminal authorities. We support our clients throughout the entire process: from crisis management and internal investigations to public disclosures and assistance during administrative and criminal proceedings. The matters our practice handles often concern topics such as integrity, governance, compliance, bribery, fraud, money laundering, international sanctions, and export control. Our multidisciplinary work touches upon various areas of law such as criminal law, administrative law, private law, financial law, and European law.
What will you do as a working student in the Regulatory & Criminal Enforcement group?
Your work is a mix of know-how activities and practical support. You will conduct case law research, draft memos, assist with presentations on legal developments, and contribute to newsletters. You will participate in team meetings and support the team with complex regulatory and enforcement matters. You will work independently, but with support from your supervisors.
