The role

Are you an ambitious law student with strong legal analytical skills and an interest in corporate law and corporate disputes? Then a position as a working student within the Litigation, Arbitration & Investigations (LAI) practice group of Linklaters Amsterdam is an excellent opportunity to gain experience within a leading international litigation practice.

As a working student, you will be part of our Corporate Litigation practice and will work two to three days per week on various corporate law disputes and investigations. You will get the opportunity to experience firsthand how complex proceedings are prepared and conducted, how strategic procedural decisions are made, and how legal advice is formulated in an international and commercially driven environment.

Our LAI practice advises and represents prominent national and international clients, including listed companies, financial institutions, private equity parties, and multinationals. The Corporate Litigation practice deals with, among other things, shareholder disputes, directors' liability, corporate governance issues, inquiry proceedings, and other corporate law disputes.

What you'll do

As a working student, you will support the lawyers within the Corporate Litigation practice on ongoing matters and investigations. Your duties may include:

  • performing legal research;
  • analyzing laws and regulations, case law, and literature;
  • drafting notes and memos;
  • supporting the preparation of procedural documents and advice;
  • preparing internal meetings and client work;
  • monitoring relevant legal developments;
  • contributing ideas on legal-strategic issues within ongoing proceedings and investigations.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a talented and driven student with a background in corporate law, or with demonstrable affinity for it, who is available from November to work with us two to three days per week.
