Senior Data Engineer

• Experience as a Data Engineer in complex (cloud) environments;
• Experience with Databricks, Fabric, Snowflake, or similar platforms;
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and data integration;
• Familiarity with data modeling, metadata management, and data profiling;
• Analytically strong, solution-oriented, and communicatively skilled;
• You speak fluent Dutch (C1).

• Knowledge of Python and SQL; Java, Databricks, SAS, or MS SQL is a plus;

• A permanent contract of 32, 36, or 40 hours with a compensation budget of up to €8,200 gross per month incl. holiday allowance and mobility allowance;

As a Senior Data Engineer, you feel completely at home in modern data environments where technology, structure, and collaboration converge. You work with large volumes of data, transform complex information flows into scalable and reliable data solutions, and build the foundations that organizations can rely on. You ensure that data is always available, secure, and usable in a form that delivers immediate value for BI, analytics, and AI.

You enjoy working with the latest cloud technologies. In environments such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and Snowflake, you build robust data pipelines, set up data layers, and optimize workflows so they are efficient, future-proof, and cost-effective. You understand how data flows through an organization and know how to automate, manage, and continuously improve these processes.

At client sites, you are a technical sparring partner who translates complex issues into practical solutions. You communicate clearly, think along regarding requirements, and advise on the best technical approach. You work intensively with Data Scientists, Data Architects, and business teams, and as a senior, you take on a coaching role for medior and junior engineers.

• Designing and building modern data pipelines and ELT processes;
• Realizing and optimizing data architectures (Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Lakehouse);
• Working with Databricks, Fabric, Snowflake, or similar platforms;
• Setting up data layers and modeling for BI, analytics, and AI;
• Monitoring data quality, lineage, reliability, and security;
• Automating via CI/CD, monitoring, and cloud services;
• Aligning with stakeholders and contributing to technical decision-making;
• Coaching junior and medior engineers.
