Medior AI Engineer

• You have a higher professional (HBO) or academic (WO) level of working and thinking and 2 to 4 years of relevant experience as an AI/ML Engineer or in a similar data role.
• You have strong knowledge of machine learning, LLMs, and software engineering, and experience with prompt engineering.
• You program in Python, work with Git, and can write, test, document, and maintain code.
• You have experience with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and/or scikit-learn.
• You work with APIs, data processing, and modern data and cloud environments, and understand MLOps and deployment.
• You can clearly explain technical choices, contributions, and results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• You are communicatively skilled, curious, take ownership, and are open to feedback.
• You have excellent command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written (C1 level).

As a Medior AI Engineer at Sogeti, you build AI solutions that are used daily. You work at the intersection of data, AI, and software engineering, developing reliable, scalable, and explainable applications. With your experience, you translate client requests into solutions that help organizations make better decisions and innovate.

Within our Data & AI community, you will work together with Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, and Data Engineers, among others. You remain involved from the first client request and the prototype through to integration, production, and further development. In doing so, you will deepen your expertise in Generative AI, Agentic AI, MLOps, and Responsible AI.

• Translate client requests into concrete AI use cases and robust solutions that deliver value in production;
• Develop Generative AI solutions using LLMs, prompts, and proprietary data sources, including RAG applications;
• Build Agentic AI solutions in which agents perform tasks independently within predetermined frameworks;
• Integrate AI solutions into applications and business processes via APIs and ensure explainability and reliability;
• Test, monitor, and improve responses, agent behavior, performance, and costs, and investigate errors and hallucinations.

You look critically at what AI actually delivers and, together with your team, develop robust solutions that align with client challenges. In this, you keep an eye on quality, reliability, and responsible AI use.
