What makes your job as a large-scale earthmoving supervisor at Boskalis Nederland so beautiful? You lead a team of specialists who have a heart for machines. And you always work with the most modern techniques. You will be working on the large hydraulic engineering project Uiterwaarden Wamel, Dreumel and Heerewaarden. Here, you will provide leadership to the execution, so that the work proceeds safely and according to plan.

You ensure the correct deployment of people and machines. At the project location, you lead the specialists and ensure that everyone can work with the right resources. In doing so, you oversee that the work is done safely. Because at Boskalis, safety is áltways the top priority. At the same time, you constantly look at how we can organize our processes more smartly. Are we still working with the right equipment? And are the right people in the right place?

Which project will you join? The Uiterwaarden Wamel, Dreumel and Heerewaarden (UWDH) project. This project falls under the execution of the Water Framework Directive. Here, we are excavating side channels to give the river Waal more space. Beautiful and visible earthmoving work, through which you contribute to better ecological water quality in the Netherlands.

This is what your work looks like:

• Translating the project planning into a detailed schedule, choosing appropriate working methods, and organizing the construction site efficiently.
• Ensuring a safe working environment and a good atmosphere on the work floor. In doing so, you work closely with the assistant supervisor, who acts as your eyes and ears on the ground.
• Guiding specialists and helping them grow in their profession. You also continue to work on your own professional development.
• Reporting daily and weekly on the progress of the project, signaling deviations in a timely manner, and adjusting where necessary.
• Coordinating with your colleagues from work preparation, including to ensure the handover dossier can be submitted to the client in a good and complete manner.

This is what you can expect from us in addition to a good 4-week period salary:

• 26 vacation days with full-time employment plus a variable number of roster-free days per year. Additionally, you can purchase extra vacation days.

You set a good example at the project location. You demonstrate entrepreneurship, take responsibility, and act quickly. Does the work outside differ from what was planned? Then you come up with suitable solutions. In doing so, you always keep the project result clearly in mind. Moreover, you always pay attention to safety, are motivated to continue working on your own development, and know how to maintain control over the project budget.

• Minimum MBO level.
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a supervisor, preferably in earthmoving.
• Knowledge of earthmoving equipment, or the motivation to deepen your knowledge in this area.
• Experience in managing and motivating colleagues.
• A driver's license, so that you can travel to project locations independently.

You will work together with...
... a team of 10 to 18 specialists: all driven earthworkers and machine operators from Boskalis itself! You will also manage our subcontractors. In total, the project team will eventually consist of about 20 to 40 colleagues. What characterizes our project teams? The open culture.
