  • a completed HBO or WO degree in Finance, Accountancy, Business Economics, or a similar field;

  • extensive experience within Finance, Financial Control, Business Control, or Accountancy, including managerial responsibility;

  • extensive knowledge of financial reporting, planning & control, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management;

  • experience within an organization with a complex structure and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments and stakeholders;

  • strong analytical skills and the ability to reduce complex financial issues to clear insights;

  • an entrepreneurial attitude, a great sense of responsibility, and a result-oriented approach;

  • experience with ERP systems and working with management information and financial reports;

  • the drive to quickly master the organization, the sector, and the specific financial structure of Kersten;

  • willingness to be present at the office in Houten at least three to four days per week.

A manager who ensures reliable financial steering, is a strong sparring partner for the board and management, and plays an important role in the further development of Finance & Business Control. What you'll do

As Manager Finance & Business Control, you are responsible for the financial planning, control, and reporting of the various business units within the Kersten Group. You ensure reliable management information, monitor financial risks, and support the organization in important strategic decisions. In doing so, you lead business control, financial control, and the financial administration (a total of 12 employees) and play an important role in the further professionalization of the financial function within Kersten. You report to the CFO.

You are a strong interlocutor for the board and management and advise on financial, business, and strategic issues. You translate complex financial data, risks, and performance into clear insights and concrete improvements that contribute to the further growth and development of the organization.

You focus on the further development of Finance & Business Control, processes, and management information. In doing so, you follow developments within the field and investigate how data, BI solutions, and AI applications can contribute to more efficient processes and better decision-making.

What will you do?

Your responsibilities include, among others:

  • coordinating the planning and control cycle, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting;

  • preparing annual accounts and monitoring the financial position of the various companies within the Kersten Group;

  • developing and monitoring financial KPIs, liquidity forecasts, and management information;

  • identifying risks, deviations, and opportunities for improvement and translating these into concrete actions;

  • maintaining contacts with accountants, banks, shareholders, and other external stakeholders;

  • coaching, developing, and managing the employees within Finance and Business Control.
