Strategic Product Manager

- At least 10 years of relevant experience in the financial sector (pensions/insurance)
- Demonstrable experience in developing business cases and strategic initiatives
- Experience with strategic advising at management and C-level
- Knowledge of new technologies and market opportunities is a plus
- Experience with organizing and communicating thought leadership is a plus
- Subject matter knowledge: in-depth knowledge of pension products and the market in which insurers and PPIs operate, particularly the competitive differences;

- Pension knowledge: (i.e. commercial, operational and IT), relevant laws and regulations (such as Wtp) and current affairs

Salary per month:
Based on collective labor agreement (cao) scale 18 HAY, the range is € 7,060.37 to € 9,413.82 based on 36 hours.

You are a subject matter expert who understands complex issues, provides strategic direction based on opportunities, and translates these into concrete choices for (long-term) growth, business cases, and execution within Athora for our customers.

As a Strategic Product Manager, you operate at the intersection of strategy, customer, product, and execution. You work on the most complex and impactful dossiers within the pension domain and are able to understand and provide direction to these independently.

Your tasks include, among others:
- Advising on strategic, tactical, and operational issues such as pricing strategy or a simplification of the product portfolio. You base your advice on the opportunities for our customers in our portfolio. With your advice, you have a direct impact on the course of Athora
- Acting as a sparring partner for senior management and the Executive Committee
- Identifying market opportunities and developments and translating these into propositions including business cases (taking into account customer interest, benefits, costs, operations & compliance) - so that Zwitserleven becomes and remains a forerunner in the pension market
- Bringing structure to complex decision-making regarding products and market needs
- Coordinating with and connecting stakeholders from different disciplines (including sales, customer experience/marketing, IT, legal, compliance, and risk officers)
- Ensuring that strategic choices are translated into concrete and achievable solutions in product and the value chain, thereby helping sales to achieve Zwitserleven's objectives
- Representing the Products department where necessary in management and C-level forums as a replacement for the Products manager
