Rail Internship

Role description:

Within our Civil & Rail advisory group, we work on designing civil infrastructure, such as roads and railways, for various clients. Our clients include Rijkswaterstaat, ProRail, and regional managers of roads, trams, and metros. We also regularly work with international clients, for example from England, Australia, Belgium, and the Middle East.

You will participate in the entire design process, from developing preliminary designs to creating detailed execution designs. In doing so, you will have the opportunity to work with modern design and modeling techniques, such as BIM (Building Information Model) and SE (Systems Engineering). In addition, you will learn how to collaborate with other disciplines, so that you contribute to integrated solutions. Process skills such as project management, time management, and risk management are also part of this.

Civil & Rail Advisory Group
Within the Civil & Rail advisory group, you will work together with a multidisciplinary team of enthusiastic colleagues dedicated to high-quality designs. The working atmosphere is open, collegial, and focused on collaboration and knowledge sharing. As an intern, you will receive plenty of guidance and space to develop yourself, but your own input is also valued. You will work together with other interns, allowing you to exchange experiences and grow together.

We are looking for an enthusiastic student who works accurately and enjoys actively thinking along about improvements in the design process. You are eager to learn, possess communicative skills, and dare to give your opinion. You love collaborating and are not afraid to take initiative.

Your profile

• You are following a HBO or WO degree in Civil Engineering, Built Environment, or a similar program and are in your second or third year.
• You have an affinity for infrastructure and design processes.
• Ideally, you possess experience with design programs such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Infraworks, Dynamo, OpenRail.
• You communicate clearly, both in Dutch and in English.
• You are a team player, critical, and solution-oriented.
