The role

Are you passionate about marketing, do you want to create beautiful content, and do you want to discover the dynamic world of the supermarket industry? Then we have the perfect internship for you! At Albert Heijn, we are looking for an enthusiastic Store Communication intern (AH Studio).

Your new job and workplace.
As an Intern, you will make a direct contribution to the Store Communication team. You will not do this alone, but together with your colleagues from the team. In this role, you will work on:

During this internship, you will contribute to the management of all communication tools in the store. You will experience the process of how a request actually goes from idea to execution in the store. You will interact extensively with concept managers, categories, and the Brand department. This includes reviewing creative concepts, writing a briefing, managing the printing process, and sending out materials or scheduling screens for our stores.

As an intern, you will have your own projects that you will complete from start to finish (with guidance). You will work on various projects, for which you will be in contact with many colleagues and external suppliers to complete the projects. You will support the development of creative concepts for physical stores on both paper materials and digital screens. A unique opportunity to get a look behind the scenes at the marketing department at Albert Heijn.

Within the store communication team, there is plenty of room for initiative, and you will receive your own projects and responsibilities from the start. You will get the chance to contribute to strong, relevant content on both paper and screens, electronic shelf labels, hand scanners, and more. For example, you could work on developing permanent store communication tools and/or pilots, creating a (permanent) instruction folder for communication tools for all stores, maintaining inventory management, answering questions from stores, and supporting photoshoots. In short, an internship where you receive a lot of responsibility and have the chance to develop yourself within a dynamic and innovative environment.

  • Someone with strong communication skills, you are confident, and you do not shy away from a discussion.

What you'll do

  • Briefing and reviewing content for both paper materials and digital screens in the store.
  • Developing permanent store communication tools and pilots.
  • Weekly preparation of a (permanent) instruction folder with communication tools for our 1000 stores.
  • Maintaining inventory management.
  • Answering questions from stores.

How you'll work

In this position, you will work 32-40 hours per week, working partly from our head office in Zaandam and partly from home.
