Demand Planner Coffee Company

For more than 130 years, we have been roasting, developing, and packaging top-quality coffee at our modern production site in Zaandam. Through our coffee, we reach millions of consumers daily via, among others, Albert Heijn, Delhaize, and various retailers in Europe.

As a Demand Planner, you ensure a forecast that is as reliable as possible. You are responsible for preparing, monitoring, and updating forecasts, so that the organization can respond to changes in demand in a timely manner. In doing so, you provide important input for the S&OP process and have an impact on delivery reliability, inventory levels, customer satisfaction, and factory occupancy.

In this role, you work at the intersection of Commercial and Operations. You collect and analyze relevant data, process market and customer information into the forecast, and signal deviations, risks, and opportunities in demand development. You support the demand planning process by keeping forecasts current and reliable and by providing stakeholders with clear reports and analyses. You do this together with the Senior Demand Planner.

Additionally, you contribute to improving forecasting processes, data quality, and reporting. In this, you work closely with colleagues within commercial and operations.

• You prepare demand forecasts and update them for the short and medium term.
• You analyze differences between forecast and actuals and signal deviations in a timely manner.
• You support the demand planning and S&OP process with up-to-date data, analyses, and reports.
• You maintain contact with internal stakeholders to collect and coordinate input for forecasts.
• You monitor forecast performance and relevant supply chain KPIs, forecast accuracy (FCA), service level, TUS, OTIF
• You optimize the demand parameters within D365 (for VMI, among others)
• You contribute to improving forecasting processes, data quality, and demand planning tools.
• You process and manage demand data carefully and ensure reliable management information.

• HBO (Higher Professional Education) level of working and thinking, preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or similar.
• A few years of experience in a demand or supply chain planning role.
• Experience with demand planning tools such as D365, Slim4, or Supplybrain is a plus.
• You are analytically strong and work in a structured and accurate manner.
• You have strong communication skills and enjoy collaborating with different disciplines.
• Proficiency in the Dutch language, both spoken and written, at a minimum B2 level.
