Mortgage & Credit Underwriting Intern

At ABN AMRO, you will get the chance to learn the profession of mortgage underwriter in practice. You will work together with an enthusiastic group of interns and receive intensive guidance from experienced colleagues who will take you through the mortgage process step by step.

During this internship, you will become acquainted with all aspects of mortgage underwriting. You will learn how mortgage applications are assessed and which financial and administrative checks are involved.

In this way, you will develop not only substantive knowledge of mortgages, but also skills that are valuable for a future career in financial services.

We work hybrid: at least two days per week from our office in Amersfoort and the remaining days from home.

• Processing and assessing customer documentation;
• Performing administrative checks within the mortgage process;
• Supporting mortgage underwriters with ongoing files;
• Identifying incompleteness and peculiarities in applications;
• Thinking along about process improvements;
• Collaborating within a team of colleagues and fellow interns.

You will join ABN AMRO Mortgages within the Credit Underwriting department, where more than 200 colleagues work daily to make homeownership dreams possible.

Whether it concerns a first home purchase, a move, or a change in the mortgage after a major life event: you will see up close how financial decisions are made and what impact they have on customers.
