The role

Are you a curious and entrepreneurial HBO or WO student with an interest in the world of
banking? Do you want to be part of a team that executes over 2 million securities transactions annually? Can you remain calm and
sharp when working with large portfolios while timelines are very short? Do you want to work on
impactful projects that matter? Then start as an intern at ABN AMRO MeesPierson and support
the Investment Centre in everything they do. There, you will not only help our wealthy clients move forward,
but you will also learn an enormous amount yourself.

What you'll do

At the Alerting department, you sit figuratively between the investment advisors and the Global Investment Committee.
This unique position offers you the opportunity to gain knowledge in various aspects. For example,
you will get an insight into everything from composing a model portfolio to contacting the client. Your
activities will include, among other things, supporting tasks in creating client communications.
Additionally, you will attend the MorningCall every morning, where you will help disseminate the latest
investment news to all investment advisors. You will also be involved in various initiatives to
constantly improve the department further.
The ABN AMRO MeesPierson Investment Centre is there for clients who prefer to outsource their investments
to the country's largest asset manager. Our department executes the transactions that follow from our
investment policy. Additionally, we support our advisors in advising the client. Furthermore;

  • Will you help with creating client communications and developing reports?;
  • Will you become part of the expertise center where questions from our advisors from all over the country
    arrive?
  • Will you support the Investment Centre to make Alerting even more efficient and future-proof?;
  • Will you also perform a number of interesting tasks in the field of communication with clients and
    colleagues

Your profile

Are you curious enough to investigate, experiment, and learn what is best for the client?
Can you work independently and proactively? Are you also not afraid to share your opinions and ideas with
others and can you communicate easily? Finally, do you have excellent analytical skills and can you work well
under time pressure? Then we are looking for you.

  • MS Excel skills are a plus
  • Do you have some affinity with the investment world
  • Do you have an excellent command of the Dutch language;
  • You are looking for an internship starting from February 2027 for a minimum of 20 weeks.

What do we offer?

We offer you a great internship. The Onboarding Program ensures that you, as a new intern,
quickly feel like part of the team. There is plenty of room to learn and grow. In both environments, you can
gain a wealth of experience. Naturally, under the excellent guidance of your internship supervisor and close
colleagues.

During your internship, it is not only about gaining substantive knowledge and practical experience, but you will
also actively work on your professional development and expanding your network. CASt, the Club ABN AMRO
Interns, organizes both substantive and social (online) events. Additionally, CASt organizes
monthly Go & See's to get acquainted with various departments within ABN AMRO, so you can
get to know the bank even better. You will also have the opportunity to further develop your hard skills via the ABN AMRO Academy
through challenging e-learnings. The internship allowance for an MBO, HBO, or
WO internship is €750 per month (based on a 36-hour work week).
