Do you want to contribute to projects that keep the Netherlands safe, accessible, and future-proof? As a Junior Hydraulic Structures Engineer, you will work on diverse challenges in the field of hydraulic engineering and water safety. From quay walls and locks to dike reinforcements and port infrastructure: you will support the design, analysis, and realization of solutions that truly matter.
Together with experienced advisors, modelers, engineers, and project leaders, you will work on projects ranging from preliminary design to detailed design. You will delve into technical challenges, perform calculations and analyses, and translate insights into practical and future-proof solutions. In this way, you will learn how technology, sustainability, regulation, and feasibility converge within challenging hydraulic engineering projects.
The variety is great. You will participate in design processes, prepare reports, coordinate with colleagues and clients, and develop yourself step by step into an independent civil engineer. In doing so, you will get plenty of room to discover where your strengths and ambitions lie.
You don't need to know everything yet - we find your curiosity, eagerness to learn, and enthusiasm for civil engineering to be at least as important.
You have completed a HBO or WO degree in Civil Engineering.
You have an interest in hydraulic structures, infrastructure, and water safety.
You are analytically strong and enjoy solving technical challenges.
You have a good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written.
Experience with design or calculation software is a plus, but not a requirement.
You will start in a role where you lay the foundation as a structural engineer and advisor within hydraulic engineering. If you already have some experience, you will more quickly receive more responsibility and the space to take on tasks independently.
Step by step, you will develop yourself into a specialist who helps solve complex technical challenges and makes an important contribution to future-proof infrastructure and water safety.
When choosing a new step in your career, you want to work at an organization that matches your values and ambitions - a place where you feel at home and where you can make an impact.
