Concrete Structures Engineer

• HBO / WO working and thinking level (preferably civil engineering or building technology).
• Some work experience with concrete-related projects.
• Solid knowledge of relevant standards, guidelines, and structural safety (e.g., EC-2; concrete, EC-3; steel, and EC-7; geotechnics).
• Experience with SCIA Engineer for 2D/3D FEM analyses and modelling of civil structures.
• Experience with FEM-Design or similar FEM software for 3D concrete structures and bridge analyses.
• Experience with IDEA StatiCa for complex detailed calculations of concrete elements, D-regions, anchor applications, and complex connections.
• Familiar with Technosoft Geotechnics (supports EC7 + CUR 166 workflows) and BuildSoft Diamonds.

• Affinity with recent modelling and drawing techniques.

For which department are we looking for you?

Within the Infra Design team, with the work areas of design and surveying &
monitoring, various civil engineering issues are worked out. For these
activities, we have a concrete engineering department which operates from the
branch in Breda. Projects are prepared through to execution and
go through all associated phases. Leading design support as
project manager or design manager within integrated contract forms for our
clients, including the affiliated contracting company of Strukton, plays an important
role here.

As an engineer, you will work in multidisciplinary project teams on various types of civil
structures (bridges, tunnels, locks, foundations, etc.). You design or support the
designer and are responsible for the structural analyses of civil
engineering works and responsible for the calculations of temporary and permanent
structures in accordance with the Eurocode and safety requirements. Together with
modellers/drafters, you ensure clear Building Information Models and conclusive
detail drawings. You play a crucial role in the technical feasibility and safety
of projects.
