Temporary Works Engineer

• Completed HBO/WO bachelor or master in Civil Engineering; 

• At least 5 years of relevant work experience; 

• Extensive experience with common software packages such as; SCIA/AxisVM, D-series, IDEA, TS-rekenpakket, Autocad/Revit. 

• Technical knowledge of materials: steel, wood, and soil mechanics. 

• The salary for this position is between €4,291 and €6,256 gross per month (based on 40 hours), excluding 8% holiday allowance. The exact salary depends on your knowledge, level, and work experience.

• On top of the salary comes a fixed amount for the Sustainable Employability Budget for things that contribute to staying healthy and motivated (2.3% according to CAO Bouw & Infra).

• 43 leave days according to the Cao Bouw & Infra. Of these days, 13 are paid out in your individual budget; you can choose to buy these days back;

We are looking for an engineer with demonstrable experience in temporary works. Our projects are always unique: every assignment requires technical precision, creativity, and the ability to turn complex problems into practical solutions. You will be involved in, among other things, support structures, anchorages, formwork, excavation pits, retaining walls, crane platforms, foundations, and temporary bridges. You independently prepare advice and structural calculations for temporary works. You are communicatively skilled and know how to involve relevant stakeholders in a timely manner to clarify interfaces. The outcome must always be practically applicable: theoretical correctness without feasibility has no value in this role.

You possess up-to-date technical knowledge and product insight and can translate this into efficient and realizable designs. Experience with steel, wood, and soil mechanics is strongly desired, as these disciplines recur in almost every design.

You work alternatingly on project locations within the project team and in the office in a substantive environment with your direct colleagues from temporary works.
