The role
Do you enjoy working outdoors, do you love freedom, and does it sound great to contribute to the quality and safety of the Dutch rail network? Then you are on the right track! VolkerRail ensures that you are trained to become a fully qualified Lightrail & Industry Technician.
What you'll do
As a LightRail & Industry Technician, together with your colleagues, you are responsible for the quality and safety of the tracks for trams, metros, and industrial companies in the Rotterdam region. This can involve a new track, major maintenance work on a track, and the maintenance of tracks for locks and container terminals. In short; a job with plenty of variety in the outdoors.
What does your training trajectory look like?
· you follow internal training in performing your duties;
· you learn how to repair subsidences and shifts in the track and what materials, equipment, and personnel are required for this;
· you follow various trainings so that you have knowledge of the track, and you also follow various trainings in the field of safety.
What do you get in return?
· You receive a one-year contract with a view to permanent employment;
· A good salary from € 2,825.- to € 3,750.- gross per month;
· No less than 48 days off: 25 vacation days and 23 rostered days off;
· A personal van for your commuting including tools;
· Plenty of training and development opportunities;
· Excellent pension scheme from the Pensioenfonds Rail & OV.
