What we're looking for

A completed HBO or WO degree in a relevant field;
At least 3-4 years of experience within software development, data engineering, data science, AI, or a comparable technical environment;
Good knowledge of Python;
Experience with or a strong interest in LLMs, generative AI, and AI Agents;
Experience with AI technology within Azure or another cloud environment;
Interest in techniques such as RAG, prompt engineering, APIs, and SDKs;
The ambition to continue developing yourself technically.

The role

As an AI Engineer, you translate our customers' challenges into smart, practical AI solutions.

In doing so, you work closely with Data Engineers, architects, and other specialists. Because a good AI solution often begins with good data and only becomes valuable when it aligns well with an organization's processes and systems.

At our customers, you are involved in the entire trajectory: from the initial challenge and experiment to the technical realization and implementation. You talk to users and stakeholders, ask critical questions, and look beyond what is technically possible. When does AI truly add value? Which approach fits best? And how do we ensure a solution is reliable enough to actually be used?

That makes this role broader than just prompt engineering or building a chatbot. You will deal with challenges surrounding, for example, RAG, AI Agents, context engineering, model selection, evaluation, security, integration, and scalability.

And because the AI landscape is changing incredibly fast, we do not expect you to have mastered everything already. We are primarily looking for someone with a solid technical foundation who is curious, loves to build and experiment, and wants to continuously develop themselves.

You are someone who loves to build, experiment, and apply new technology in practice. You follow developments surrounding AI closely, but you are not merely guided by what is new. Above all, you want to create solutions that work, are reliable, and truly add value.

What you'll do

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

Designing and developing AI solutions;
Building applications with generative AI and LLMs;
Developing AI Agents and smart assistants;
Connecting AI to business data and knowledge sources;
Integrating AI solutions via APIs and SDKs;
Working with techniques such as RAG and prompt engineering;
Making AI applications production-ready and further improving them.
