A day as an AI Engineer at Capgemini is a mix of innovation, engineering, and collaboration. One moment you might be experimenting with the latest GenAI models, designing prompts, or building multi-agent solutions in Python, and the next moment you are working together with data scientists, cloud engineers, architects, and clients to bring those ideas into production. Our teams work across various sectors on real-world challenges, ranging from conversational AI and document intelligence to knowledge retrieval and automation. Because the GenAI landscape is evolving rapidly, continuous learning and experimentation are a natural part of the role, whether that happens through hackathons, internal communities, training, or innovation sessions with clients. As a Senior AI Engineer at Capgemini, you will work on designing, developing, and implementing advanced AI solutions for leading organizations. You combine software engineering, machine learning, and Generative AI to realize innovative applications that add direct value to our clients. From proof-of-concept to production environments: you ensure that AI solutions are scalable, secure, and future-proof.

You will work together with data scientists, cloud engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to solve complex problems. In doing so, you will get plenty of room to experiment with the latest developments in the fields of LLMs, Agentic AI, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), and multi-agent systems.

In this role, you will work on:

• Designing, building, and implementing innovative AI solutions using Generative AI, Machine Learning, and Large Language Models.
• Developing AI applications in Python and modern AI frameworks for diverse client environments.
• Designing scalable RAG solutions, AI assistants, and Agentic AI platforms that improve and automate business processes.
• Integrating and operationalizing AI solutions on cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and GCP using MLOps principles.
• Guiding clients through their AI transformation and translating business challenges into technical solutions.
• Coaching colleagues and contributing to knowledge sharing within our AI Engineering & Data Science community.

You have:

• At least 2 years of experience as an AI Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, Data Scientist, GenAI Engineer, or similar.
• A completed university degree (WO) in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a similar field.
• Demonstrable experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, Agentic AI, and modern AI frameworks.
• Excellent programming skills in Python supplemented by experience in software engineering best practices.
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, version control, and building production-ready solutions.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, GCP, or similar cloud platforms.
• Strong consultancy and communication skills that allow you to make complex technical issues understandable for stakeholders.
• Good command of both the Dutch and English languages.
