Finance Shadowing Internship

Are you accurate, do you enjoy working with numbers, and do you want to discover how financial administration works within a technical company? During this shadowing internship, you will join the Finance department at RAVO and learn step by step how invoices, payments, and financial documents are processed.

During your internship, you will support your colleagues with the daily activities of the financial administration. You will receive good guidance and increasing space to take on tasks independently.

You will, among other things:

• checking, processing, and booking incoming invoices in the correct place;

• helping with the preparation and processing of payments;

• creating and updating supplier data;

• supporting the handling of payment reminders;

• digitally archiving financial documents;

• checking whether data is complete and correct;

• contacting colleagues from other departments if information is missing;

• getting acquainted with financial systems and administrative processes.

This internship gives you a good insight into working in a finance department. You will learn, among other things:

• how accounts payable administration works in practice;

• how you check and process invoices;

• why working carefully and accurately is important;

• how different departments within an organization work together;

• how you communicate professionally with colleagues and suppliers;

• how you maintain an overview in an administration;

• how you work with financial software, possibly including SAP.

This internship is a good fit for you if you:

• are following an Mbo education at level 3 or 4, for example in the direction of Business Administration, Finance, or Financial Administrative Professions;

• are looking for a shadowing internship;

• enjoy working with numbers and administrative data;

• are accurate and try to prevent errors;

• enjoy learning new things;

• dare to ask questions;

• enjoy collaborating with others;

• want to learn to work increasingly independently.

*You don't need to know everything yet. The most important thing is that you are curious, work carefully, and are motivated to learn the financial profession in practice.

Cliché, but true: No day in financial administration is exactly the same. One time you are processing an invoice, the next time you are investigating why certain information is missing, or helping with the preparation of a payment. This way, you not only learn to work with numbers, but you also discover how Finance collaborates with the rest of the organization.

You will become part of an experienced Finance team and get the chance to observe, participate, and further develop yourself.
