Sustainability Internship

Are you analytically strong, do you have an affinity for sustainability, and do you want to make an impact in an international technical environment? Then we have a unique graduation assignment for you!

As a Sustainability Intern, you will work on a strategic and data-driven issue within Vekoma as part of your graduation research. Sustainability is increasingly evolving from a "nice to have" to a determining factor in purchasing and investment decisions within the attraction market.

In this role, you will investigate how the value of sustainable attractions can be made insightful and measurable, and how this can be translated into a distinctive market proposition. You will work at the intersection of sustainability, commerce, and data analysis, providing a concrete contribution to strategic decision-making within Vekoma regarding innovation and sustainability.

You will carry out a graduation assignment focused on the following central question:

How can Vekoma quantify the customer value of a 'sustainable ride' and translate it into a distinctive market proposition, and in which market segments and regions lies the greatest commercial potential?

Within this assignment, you will, among other things:

• Analyze the customer value of sustainable attractions and translate it into concrete value components;

• Investigate what the willingness to pay (WTP) is and how it differs per market segment;

• Identify promising market segments and regions worldwide;

• Perform scenario analyses, for example regarding rising energy prices or the role of sustainability in financing issues;

• Collect, analyze, and translate data into clear insights and recommendations.

The end result of your research is an applicable graduation report for Vekoma, in the form of a concrete market analysis with advice and insight into how to utilize these recommendations.

• You are a 4th-year HBO/WO student looking for a graduation internship starting from September 2026;

• You are following a degree in the direction of (Technical) Business Administration, Business Innovation, Sustainability, Commercial Economics, or similar;

• You have an affinity with sustainability and international business;

• You possess strong analytical skills and are comfortable with data analysis;

• You know how to make a practical translation from these analyses into concrete actions for the organization;

• You have experience or interest in qualitative and quantitative research;

• You are socially and communicatively skilled and know how to present insights clearly;

• You work in a structured, independent, and result-oriented manner.
