The role

In this varied and independent role, you are technically responsible for the entire process from calculation to delivered product. You determine the working methods, processing sequences, and machine times. In doing so, you establish the costs and pass these on to the Sales department.

You guide new and/or improvement projects through the organization in the right way, while also serving as the point of contact for many parties, both inside and outside VDL TIM Hapert. You will be working in a close-knit team where "Strength through collaboration" is highly valued.

Your activities also consist of:

• Assessing technical drawings, sketches, and/or models for manufacturability;
• Consulting with the customer regarding the manufacturability of products and processing any resulting changes;
• Determining the most optimal working methods, processing sequences, and machine and setup times; indicating which materials, machines, and tools are required, as well as what must be purchased and outsourced;
• Requesting prices for materials, purchased parts, and external processes via the purchasing department;
• Preparing and elaborating customer orders for production, also based on customer-specific requirements;
• Establishing the working methods and routing of the production order;
• If necessary, you create (CAD) drawings, sketches, or additional instructions/descriptions/documents, taking quality requirements into account;
• Order monitoring/assessment regarding pre- and post-calculations.
