Requirements
What we're looking for
- You possess a technical HBO (higher professional education) degree (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a similar field);
- You have gained relevant work experience, preferably with industrial manufacturing and engineering projects;
- You are proficient in both Dutch and English, both spoken and written;
- You have knowledge of the development of production systems;
Nice to have
- You are familiar with, or are willing to follow training for, process control of production environments: process flow, P-FMEA, SPC, control plan, yellow belt or green belt, etc.

The role
The role
As an Engineer in the New Product Introduction (NPI) department, you design the production process for new products and ensure quality aspects. You are responsible for the manufacturing strategy of internal products and for securing the manufacturing process by defining and organizing the production flow, reducing risks by providing input to process FMEAs, and setting up control plans.
Additionally, you support production in realizing and qualifying prototypes and pilots towards volume manufacturing, for which you bear technical responsibility. You are also responsible for the technical release of new product documentation and acceptance regarding manufacturability.
What you'll do
Important characteristics for fulfilling the role of NPI Engineer are:
- Providing DfX feedback to and participating in development teams (internal and/or external) regarding manufacturability. So that objectives regarding quality, technology, logistics, and costs can be achieved and secured;
- Organizing and holding review meetings with the customer and suppliers to resolve technical issues and achieve release;
- Providing technical support to production planning and assembly during prototype and pilot production;
- You are the technical point of contact during customer contact;
- Analyzing drawings, sketches, photos, or CAD models to arrive at a process plan for the fabrication of modules and systems.
- Drafting specifications for required production tooling and coordinating its execution.
