The role
The role
As a Manufacturing Engineer NPI, you are technically responsible during the introduction phase of new products. You oversee the entire trajectory: from initial customer information and cost calculation to a stable transfer to series production.
You are the connecting link between the customer, sales, engineering, purchasing, and production, and you actively brainstorm with customers regarding design choices, manufacturability, and process solutions.
You work on complex mechatronic modules and systems in sectors including Healthcare, Food Tech, and Energy.
What you'll do
- Assessing customer information for manufacturability, risks, and completeness
- Brainstorming with customers regarding design choices, tolerances, and production strategies
- Preparing cost calculations for new projects
- Analyzing and improving designs focused on cost, quality, and delivery time
- Performing process-FMEAs (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) to control production risks
- Technical support for purchasing and sales
- Guiding prototype construction and validation
- Ensuring a careful transfer to series production
