For NXP Semiconductors in Nijmegen, we are looking for an ambitious Manufacturing Support Engineer (also known as Shift Engineer) for shift work.

As a Manufacturing Support Engineer, you are the link between technology, production, and continuous improvement. Working in the heart of the factory, you collaborate with operators, technicians, and supervisors to make processes smarter, more stable, and more efficient.

You analyze production problems, look for structural improvements, and help the team achieve better performance in terms of quality, output, and efficiency.

You work in a team of engineers and supervisors within a modern semiconductor production environment where technology, teamwork, and data are central.

• Analyzing and improving production processes;
• Resolving operational disruptions based on data and analyses;
• Initiating and guiding improvement projects;
• Collaborating with operators, technicians, and engineers on the shop floor;
• Improving performance in the areas of quality, output, and logistics;
• Implementing new working methods and process improvements;
• Supporting the Shift Manager and acting as a back-up;
• Actively contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

This position is ideal as a first or second step in your career. You will receive a lot of responsibility, learn to react quickly in a complex high-tech environment, and develop both your technical and personal skills.
