Within the tax field in the agricultural sector at Van Oers, you stand alongside the entrepreneur. You know what is happening on the farm and in the market, and you translate figures into insights that help agricultural entrepreneurs move forward. Just do it: practical advice that fits the dynamics of the sector.
We stay ahead by cleverly combining current developments, laws and regulations, and sector knowledge. This way, you help agricultural entrepreneurs seize their advantage, today and with an eye on the future. At the same time, you get all the space to grow, to deepen your knowledge of the sector, and to develop yourself as a specialist.
You work in a dedicated team of approximately 12 colleagues with a heart for the agricultural sector, where sharing knowledge is a matter of course and where colleagues look out for one another. Together, we build sustainable relationships with our clients and build your future within agricultural accountancy at Van Oers. Will you seize your advantage and come work as a Junior Tax Advisor Agro?
As a Junior Tax Advisor Agro, you support experienced tax advisors in providing tax advice to clients. The clients are located in the agricultural sector, which may include nurseries, soft fruit, dairy farming, and arable farming. You will prepare and process tax returns. You will research tax legislation. And of course, you may advise clients on fiscal issues. Additionally, you will have frequent contact with clients and ensure proper file management. In your role as Junior Tax Advisor Agro, the emphasis is therefore on advisory activities, but you do not shy away from performing return-related tasks every now and then.
A glimpse of your tasks:
You handle income tax (IB) / corporate income tax (VPB) returns;
You provide support during ongoing procedures and handle receipts;
You have a lot of contact with your client, but also with, for example, intermediaries and the tax authorities;
You assess annual accounts for fiscal aspects;
You will visit clients together with, for example, a board member or, when you are ready, you may also go alone.
You possess decisiveness and the ability to collaborate. You are accurate, dedicated, and proactive. Additionally, you are communicatively skilled and you find it no problem to give people feedback. Finally, you keep a cool head during busy periods.
Furthermore, we ask:
A completed university (WO) degree in Fiscal Economics or Tax Law
A love for and knowledge of the tax profession;
Ambition: you want to develop yourself on a professional and personal level.
With us, you may or rather must ‘just do it’. Saying what you do and doing what you say, that is how we work at Van Oers. We communicate clearly and honestly; we don't blow our own trumpet. Together with colleagues, partners, and clients, we put our shoulders to the wheel.
Furthermore, we offer:
A suitable salary that aligns with your knowledge and relevant work experience for this role;
27 vacation days, which can increase to 32 vacation days the longer you work with us;
Mobility budget where you decide how to use it;
Non-contributory pension with the possibility of tax-advantaged supplementary savings;
Laptop and mobile phone;
Study scheme;
Possibility to work partially from home;
Home office allowance of €2.45 per day;
€1200,- budget from Coolblue to set up your home workspace after completing your probationary period;
A well-developed onboarding process in which you get to know the organization, tasks, and colleagues.
