As an SME Controller (for clients), you are part of the team consisting of approximately 25 direct colleagues whom you help manage. You work together towards a goal: a satisfied client. You do this on-site at the client or at the office. You also work together with colleagues from accountancy, taxation, or other specialists. You function as a strategic sounding board for the SME entrepreneur and you ensure that you are up to date on relevant current affairs regarding your clients and laws and regulations. You also monitor and improve the quality of the clients' financial administrations.

A glimpse of your tasks:

• You fulfill the controller function within our team or at the SME client;

• You help manage the team of colleagues with a focus on monitoring quality towards the client;

• You guide the client in the setup and implementation of various software applications;

• You advise the SME entrepreneur in the field of administrative organization, regarding possible process optimization, and on various current issues;

• You discuss interim reports and advisory points with the client;

• You assess the compilation-ready balance sheet file of complex clients in preparation for the annual accounts;

• You prepare (complex) interim reports and budgets and discuss these with the client;

• You utilize opportunities at clients through your proactive approach;

• You identify professional and current developments and translate these to the client's practical situation;

• You involve the right internal specialists for issues where your knowledge is not entirely sufficient.

You possess analytical, problem-solving, and learning abilities. You are clear in your communication and pleasant to interact with. Additionally, you are helpful, customer-oriented, accurate, and integer. You can set priorities and meet deadlines, even in busy situations. You do not lose sight of the quality of the service.

Furthermore, we ask:

• You have experience in guiding and managing colleagues;

• You have a completed HBO or WO degree in Business Economics, Finance & Control, or Accountancy;

• You have demonstrable experience with financial advising for SME enterprises or the willingness to acquire this;

• You have experience in a role as a Financial Advisor, (Assistant) Accountant, or (Assistant) Controller.
