Medior Financial Controller

We are looking for a hands-on financial superstar! You have a practical mindset and can organize your own activities well. Additionally, we expect the following from you:

• You have a higher professional education (HBO) degree in Finance, Business Economics, or a similar field.

• You have 3-5 years of work experience within a financial role.

• You have knowledge of financial processes and accounting principles.

• You have experience with ERP systems (Accountview/AGP) and Excel is a plus.

• You possess analytical skills and a precise working attitude: financial accountability regarding accuracy, completeness, and timeliness is essential. 

• You possess good communication skills (good command of Dutch and English) and a proactive working attitude.

You are involved in the financial administration of various entities within our international organization. You work closely with colleagues from the finance department and support the preparation of financial reports and analyses. You work together with the finance team on various ongoing financial projects. This means that you are jointly responsible for activities surrounding the month-end closing, reporting and tax returns, accounts receivable and accounts payable administration, and all other occurring tasks. You are hands-on and can quickly step in when a colleague needs your help.

• Checking, analyzing, and processing financial data and journal entries (including corrections, provisions, balance sheet specifications)

• Coordinating and executing the month-end closing process for multiple entities.

• Supporting the preparation of (standardized) financial reports and analyses.

• Identifying and analyzing deviations in financial results.

• Acting as back-up for posting accounts payable and creating accounts receivable invoices.

• Contributing to process improvements within the finance department.

• Supporting audits and tax obligations (VAT returns).

• Ensuring the customer satisfaction of both internal and external customers.
