Are you ready to guide entrepreneurs through one of the most defining moments of their entrepreneurial existence? In Corporate Finance, as an M&A Analyst, you will get the chance to be in the middle of the acquisition process. You will work together with an ambitious team of 25 specialists and develop yourself in performing, among other things, financial analyses, market analyses, and business valuations. Your work makes the difference for entrepreneurs with challenging M&A issues. Are you looking for a role in which you combine analytical sharpness with decisiveness and social skills? Then this is your chance.
As an M&A Analyst, you will work in the Corporate Finance team, which consists of 25 colleagues specializing in the areas of Debt Advisory & Restructuring (D&R), Due Diligence (DD), and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A). You will receive a versatile role in which you help companies with one of the most important steps in their existence: an acquisition or sale. As an analyst, you are the financial detective of the department; you know all the client details that are relevant to being able to perform at the maximum level. You create clear analyses of companies based on financial history, future expectations, and associated risks. As an M&A Analyst, you are involved in the project team throughout the entire acquisition or sale process.
A glimpse of your tasks:
Preparing pitches: For the acquisition of new clients, you will assist in drafting pitches. You will think along about the best approach and know how to clearly communicate our added value.
Performing valuations: Based on financial analyses, you will perform business valuations. You translate complex data into clear insights that in turn form the basis for strategic choices.
Drafting information memorandums: You translate essential information from a company into a clear and convincing information memorandum. With this, you provide potential buyers with a complete picture of the company and the opportunities it offers.
Analyzing markets: You research markets to map out buyers, sellers, opportunities, and risks. Your insights help our clients to think and act strategically.
Managing processes: You monitor the progress of the acquisition process, establish timelines, and ensure that all involved parties have the right information at the right time. You support the establishment of letters of intent, due diligence investigations, and transaction documentation.
You possess strong analytical abilities and take ownership of your work. You work critically and accurately and do not let go until you have reached the core. You are eager to learn, integrous, patient, and impatient at the right moments. Additionally, you communicate clearly and professionally, work in a structured manner, and have strong planning skills.
Furthermore, we ask:
Completed university Master's in Finance;
A maximum of 3 years of work experience in a financial role;
An interest in mergers and acquisitions, which you would like to learn more about and talk about;
A sense for language: you write and speak flawless Dutch and English.
Corporate Finance is an ambitious, driven, and committed team. We strive for maximum results. Trust, transparency, expertise, and drive characterize the way we work.
With us, you will quickly receive responsibility and autonomy. Early in your career, you will already be at the table with entrepreneurs yourself, thus building your own relationship with clients within just a few months. Not a background role, then, but getting to know the entrepreneur behind the company directly.
We believe in short lines of communication and an informal working atmosphere. No closed doors or strict hierarchy, but a team where you can easily walk in to a colleague for a question, a good idea, or a quick consultation. That open culture ensures rapid collaboration, much knowledge sharing, and a strong team feeling.
What makes us special? The enormous expertise available within Van Oers. We work together with colleagues from, among others, tax advisory and accountancy. This multidisciplinary collaboration means that we can advise our clients broadly and at the right speed, and you will grow rapidly along with us.
And of course, there is also plenty of room for socializing. Think of drinks, outings, and team activities: moments when we celebrate successes and get to know each other better outside of work.
That is Corporate Finance: With Full Dedication
Furthermore, we offer:
A suitable salary that aligns with your knowledge and relevant work experience for this role;
27 vacation days, which can increase to 32 vacation days the longer you work with us;
Mobility budget where you decide how to use it;
Non-contributory pension with the possibility of tax-advantaged supplementary savings;
Laptop and mobile phone;
Study scheme;
Possibility to work partially from home;
Home office allowance of €2.45 per day;
€1200,- budget from Coolblue to set up your home workspace after completing your probationary period;
A well-developed onboarding process in which you get to know the organization, tasks, and colleagues.
