Within our accountancy practice in Breda, you will work together in a dedicated team of approximately 40 colleagues where knowledge is shared and where everyone looks out for one another. This is how we make an impact together: for our clients, the local economy, and for your future.

As an Accountancy & Innovation Associate at Van Oers, you do not only work with numbers, but you also play an active role in recognizing and exploiting opportunities in the fields of process optimization, digitalization, and automation. You look at both internal processes and customer-oriented solutions. With your knowledge and experience, you support colleagues in embracing and effectively deploying new technologies.

A glimpse of your tasks:

• You manage administrations, prepare annual accounts, and you support tax returns and financial analyses;

• You collaborate on the implementation of tools such as data analysis, dashboards, possibly RPA or scan/recognition software, and whatever fits our “leading the way” strategy;

• You are a sparring partner for colleagues and clients when it comes to technological solutions that make financial processes more efficient and insightful;

• You contribute to the quality control of services, with an eye for innovation without compromising reliability and laws/regulations.

You possess decisive, analytical, and learning abilities. You are communicatively skilled, involved, accurate, and proactive.  In busy periods, you keep a cool head. You enjoy working together with colleagues and sharing information to achieve collective goals.  

Furthermore, we ask:

• Completed HBO (Higher Professional Education) degree in Accountancy, Business Economics, Finance & Control or similar; 

• At least 3 years of experience within accountancy;

• You have a strong affinity with IT, digitalization, data analysis, etc.;

• Experience with software packages (accounting software, BI tools) is a plus;

• You actively seek out opportunities for innovation, and you dare to propose ideas.
