You start your day with a cup of coffee and a glance at your mailbox. An inquiry has come in for a multi-day business meeting. Additionally, a company wants to know what the possibilities are for a drinks reception, and meanwhile, there is still an open quote that you want to follow up on today.

Welcome to the Sales department at Van der Valk Hotel Zaltbommel-A2!

09:00 AM - First, check the inquiries
You review what has come in, call a client for some extra information, and translate wishes into a suitable proposal. Meeting room, hotel rooms, lunch, drinks? You ensure the picture is complete.

10:00 AM - Time to pick up the phone yourself
Of course, plenty of inquiries come to us. But you actually enjoy going out to look for new clients yourself. You make contact and explain what is possible with us. Cold calling? You primarily see a new opportunity.

12:30 PM - Lunch!
Having lunch together, catching up, and then getting back to it.

13:30 PM - Quote approved!
Great. You process the agreements in our systems and coordinate everything with the relevant departments. This way, everyone will know exactly what needs to be done later.

15:00 PM - Switching gears
A client calls with a change, a new inquiry comes in, and that quote from yesterday still deserves a follow-up. You maintain an overview and ensure that nothing is left undone.
And is it Friday? Then we like to close the week together during the Friday afternoon drinks.

• Handling and following up on business group inquiries;

• Creating quotes and recording agreements in our systems;

• Actively approaching new clients and relations from the hotel;

• Recognizing and exploiting commercial opportunities;

• Maintaining contact with clients from the inquiry stage through to the reservation;

• Coordinating reservations with the various departments in the hotel.

You will work mainly during office hours alongside Anne, Nathalie, and Frederique. Together you form the sales team and are responsible for business group reservations and leisure inquiries. We are looking for someone who is commercial, makes contact easily, and enjoys picking up the phone. But also someone who works in a structured manner, meets agreements, and gets happy from a reservation that is perfect down to the details.

Furthermore, you have completed a higher professional education (HBO) óf have relevant commercial work experience and you speak fluent Dutch and English.
