Kitchen Internship

Location: Van der Valk Hotel Zaltbommel - A2
Internship period: from February 2027 for 1 to 2 days per week

Are you a real go-getter with a passion for food and hospitality? Do you want to learn in one of the most hygienic kitchens in the Netherlands? Then we are looking for you!

During your internship, you will get to know all the facets of working in a professional kitchen. You will support the kitchen team with daily activities and get the chance to fully develop yourself under the guidance of an experienced mentor.

No two days are the same! During your internship, you will be involved in, among other things:

• Various cleaning tasks to keep our kitchen clean, safe, and hygienic

• Checking, processing, and tidying up incoming orders

• Preparatory work for the mise en place

• Plating and garnishing dishes

• Preparing staff meals

• Serving dishes during lunch and service

• Various cooking and replenishment tasks during our live cooking buffets

• Supporting the kitchen team with daily activities

• Carrying out assignments and learning objectives from your education together with your mentor

• You are following an education in the direction of kitchen, chef, or hospitality

• Enthusiasm for cooking and hospitality is your priority

• Working accurately and attention to hygiene are second nature to you

• You easily combine an independent working attitude with collaborating in a team

• Curious about the profession and always willing to learn new techniques and skills

• You like to roll up your sleeves and love a challenge
