Requirements

What we're looking for

Strong Excel skills are required (such as formulas, pivot tables/pivots, and data structuring; experience with Power BI or similar tools is a plus);
Fluent command of both the Dutch and English languages, in speech and writing;
Strong interest in data analysis and product life cycle management;
Ability to analyze complex datasets, interpret figures, and translate these into clear insights and concrete recommendations;
Sound understanding of the connection between sales, margins, inventory levels, and costs throughout the product life cycle;
Proactive and independent working style, with the ability to take ownership within a junior role;
Eager to learn, ambitious, and result-oriented;
Comfortable collaborating with various stakeholders and open to feedback;

Nice to have

Experience within or affinity with the pharmaceutical industry is a plus, but not a requirement.

The role

Portfolio Specialist NL
40 hours

As a Portfolio Specialist, you will help us optimize our portfolio and make data-driven choices. By converting data into clear insights, you will contribute to well-founded decisions within Procurement and Sales and help identify opportunities, risks, and optimization possibilities.

What you'll do

Preparing and maintaining portfolio analyses, dashboards, and reports to support decision-making within Procurement and Sales;
Performing profitability analyses and preparing business cases and substantiated advice with concrete recommendations for continuing, optimizing, or phasing out products;
Supporting the assessment of new product opportunities, including market research, data collection, and profitability analyses;
Monitoring portfolio performance in various markets and identifying trends, deviations, and improvement opportunities;
Supporting market research activities surrounding the launch of new products and portfolio expansions;
Providing input for discussions regarding inventory prioritization in various markets, substantiated with structured analyses;
Continuously analyzing inventory positions, procurement data, and sales trends, primarily using Excel, to identify risks, inefficiencies, and optimization possibilities.

Strong analytical thinking skills and a clear passion for working with data;
Great affinity with Excel and quantitative analyses; finds pleasure in structuring, cleaning, and interpreting data;
Commercial curiosity and interest in understanding market developments;
