We are looking for you as a Licensed Aircraft Mechanic (CAT-A) at Transavia
Keeping our fleet in top condition. That is, in short, your goal. Between flights, you perform line maintenance on aircraft so they can depart safely again. In the hangar, you truly dive deep into aircraft technology. One time you are replacing an engine, the next time you are disinfecting a water system. One thing is certain: your activities are highly diverse. Additionally, you find no problem with working alternating weekends, evenings, and during the day. Start your journey at Transavia as a Licensed Aircraft Mechanic, grow with us into a ground technician (GWK), and take on the challenge in a professional team in this beautiful field!
In addition, we also offer you:
Plenty of opportunities to develop yourself. Through our own Learning Hub, you can follow (online) training sessions together with your colleagues for your personal development;
(Team) coaching;
A workplace in our Hangar at Schiphol Oost;
The option to exchange one recognized religious holiday annually for a non-recognized religious holiday;
Opportunity to participate in 'Young Transavia';
Last but not least; with our IPB scheme, you fly at attractive rates (if seats are available)!
You work on the newest type of aircraft in the sky: the Airbus A321neo. Our fleet of approximately 50 aircraft will be renewed with these modern and sustainable aircraft in the coming years. Next year, more than half of the Transavia fleet at Schiphol will already be Airbus;
Maximum variety: you maintain the entire aircraft, from nose to tail. You work both in the hangar and on the line, right in the middle of the dynamics of the operation between arriving and departing passengers;
Full attention to your growth and development towards ground technician;
The chance to occasionally travel to one of our beautiful destinations. Does an aircraft in Barcelona or Reykjavik need maintenance? Who knows, this time you might be eligible to resolve the technical fault!
You and your team ensure our aircraft can safely take to the skies. It’s a big responsibility, and you feel that. You work accurately, follow safety procedures seriously, and stay alert to everything happening around you. You’re capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
As a Licensed Aircraft Mechanic, you bring:
A relevant MBO level 4 diploma;
You have a (almost) valid Part-66 EASA AML
At least 2 years of demonstrable experience as an Aircraft Mechanic, preferably with aircraft types 737 and/or A320-A321;
You embrace diversity;
Good command of both Dutch and English.
Due to security clearance requirements, you must have lived and worked in the EU for at least the last 8 years. Unfortunately, if you do not meet this criterion you are unable to apply for this role.
Since 1965, we’ve made flying accessible to everyone. Our passengers enjoy annual holidays, visits to family abroad, and discover new destinations across Europe and North Africa. We do this together, with over 3,000 colleagues. In the air, in the cockpit and cabin, and on the ground in technical services and offices. Together we strive for a great journey—a truly great journey—now and in the future.
Upload your motivation letter and CV via the apply button;
You will hear back within 2 weeks if we invite you for an interview;
The process includes 2 interviews;
Safety is our top priority. That’s why a background check, security clearance, and medical examination are part of the process;
If there’s a mutual match and you pass aviation safety screening: welcome aboard!
