Electrical Project Engineer/Lead Electrical Engineer

•    Representing the electrical engineering discipline for the Dutch industrial team

•    Acting as the primary point of contact for all electrical engineering matters (both internally and with the client)

•    Leading and contributing to engineering activities in all project phases:

o    Feasibility studies

o    Concept & Basic Engineering

o    Detail Engineering

o    Supervision during installation

o    Delivery & commissioning

•    Developing and reviewing complex documentation, including:

o    Electrical engineering calculations (load, short circuit, arc flash, cable sizing, etc.)

o    Specifications for HV/LV equipment, material specifications & Conformity assessments of installations

o    ATEX-related technical documentation

•    Supervising engineering results with a strong focus on quality, compliance, cost control, and schedules

•    Conducting site visits, inspections, factory acceptance tests, and supporting commissioning activities

•    Collaborating closely with colleagues in mechanical systems, processes, automation, and project management throughout Europe

This is no standard engineering role. You will be:

•    Lead Electrical Engineer for client projects in the Industry Division

•    Responsible for shaping the electrical engineering competence of AFRY Netherlands

•    Working in a small, entrepreneurial team with the support of a large global organization

•    Involved in high-impact industrial projects, currently focused on the Netherlands and Belgium

As lead electrical engineer, you play a central role in defining and executing electrical engineering solutions for clients in the process industry:

•    Fluent Dutch (spoken and written) and excellent command of the English language are essential requirements

•    Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering

•    Relevant experience in industrial electrical engineering, preferably in the process industry and engineering advisory services

•    Knowledge of Dutch regulations and industry standards

•    Ability to work independently and lead multidisciplinary teams

•    Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

•    Proactive, solution-oriented, structured working style

•    You feel at home in dynamic environments with changing project scopes

•    A collaborative mindset and willingness to support the growth of the team

•    Willingness to travel if necessary
