Technical Buyer

• Ideally, you have experience in technical procurement or a similar role.

• You read and understand technical drawings and specifications effortlessly.

• You have an affinity with production processes such as machining or composites.

• You are a strong negotiator and communicator.

• You work analytically, accurately, and in a structured manner.

• Experience with ERP systems is a plus.

• You speak fluent Dutch and can easily communicate in English using the correct technical terms, both orally and in writing.

Are you the Technical Buyer who maintains an overview and strengthens the procurement department?

You manage the entire procurement process. You are in contact with suppliers and track the progress of quotes and orders. You engage in discussions with suppliers and partners, especially when it comes to price negotiations.

Executive Technical Buyer: As a Technical Buyer, you request quotes based on specifications provided by the Engineering department. You collect and compare commercial terms, report this back to the project team, and subsequently execute the further procurement process in full.

Flexibility: As a technical buyer, you are responsible for the strategic procurement of raw materials, technical components, semi-finished products, and services, ensuring an optimal balance between price, quality, and continuity. The role requires a dual focus: combining the speed and flexibility needed for R&D with the stability and cost optimization required for scaling up to series production.

Point of Contact: As the primary point of contact for suppliers and colleagues, you are responsible for resolving bottlenecks and guaranteeing quick response times. You manage the procurement mailbox and ongoing orders, monitor deadlines, and ensure that the right information is available to Engineering, Production, or the supplier at the right time.

Logistics: Logistics is also an aspect of the role. You process requests with the Logistics Partner, track the status of shipments, and coordinate with the parties involved to resolve any delays quickly.
