You have a degree at HBO/WO level and a number of years of work experience in a journalistic environment.
You have coaching skills and understand how to give and receive feedback.
You are up to date with the latest online developments and dare to innovate.
You live in Gelderland and/or know the province well.
Do you switch easily between people and content? Are you someone who writes easily themselves, but can also coach others to achieve even better online reporting? Are you bursting with ideas, do you have a nose for emerging news, and do you know which headline can generate visitors? Do you want to take that extra step every day to create the best regional stories? Then we are looking for you!
You work on the central news floor of Omroep Gelderland, the place where it happens every day, 24/7. As an assembler, you are part of a young and ambitious team of editors. Your focus lies on directing our app and website. You participate in discussions about the news of the day and translate decisions and actions to the online editorial team. For editors, reporters, and video correspondents, you are the point of contact. You edit and publish articles, but you can also quickly and well write a news story yourself. You work data-inspired, follow our online strategy, and take our audience needs model and content calendar into account.
As an assembler, you have the following responsibilities:
You are a news junkie: always alert to emerging news and you know where to find it.
You can maintain a good overview, coordinate, set priorities, and monitor agreements.
You get energy from delivering scoops and creating distinctive journalistic stories.
You are a 'headline king/queen' and understand what an online news story must satisfy. With the needs model and content calendar, you know exactly what we mean.
You love collaborating and know how to delegate topics to colleagues.
We are a 24-hour organization: working early, late, or on the weekend is no problem for you.
You have a smooth pen and can write good stories.
At Omroep Gelderland, we are building a future-oriented and target-audience-oriented newsroom. As an assembler, you play an important role in this. All residents of Gelderland know how to find us every day. We inform, connect, and touch.
