Cost Expert

• A good salary between € 5,000.- and € 7,300.- per month, depending on your experience.

Are you an experienced cost expert with a passion for knowledge sharing and coaching? With us, you get the opportunity to use your experience for the development of the field, the guidance of young employees, and the strengthening of our national team. You work together with 12 professionals on diverse market segments, from urban integrated works to waste and drinking water transport pipelines and infra-related projects in the energy transition. Each location has its own unique focus, such as hydraulic engineering, restoration work, road construction, and civil concrete construction. 

As a Cost Expert, you are a key player in both the tender phase and the project team. You analyze the demand behind the customer's request and work together with colleagues on the smartest, safest, and most sustainable solutions. You ensure accurate pricing by calculating the customer's requirements and preparing an optimal price proposal, while keeping a sharp eye on risks and opportunities within contract conditions and functional requirements. You advise managers on risk management and the exploitation of opportunities and actively participate in efficient working methods. 

You are involved in larger tenders and construction teams ranging from 5 to 100 million euros, where you lead the team to prepare a timely and complete cost price. In this role, you are also an important interlocutor for our construction partners and customers, both during the tender phase and during the execution of the projects. You ensure that the cost price is determined and commercially defended, and you act as a sparring partner for the project manager. This also applies to larger and more complex framework agreements, where you arrive at an integrated cost price together with the team and construction partners. 

Additionally, you are actively involved in assessing quotes with an eye for quality and work on the optimization of price proposals. You monitor that all necessary documents are provided correctly and timely and contribute to efficient registration, management, and archiving. As an expert, you stay informed about developments in infrastructure and actively share this knowledge within the team, thereby contributing to innovation, sustainability, and circularity. 

You proactively maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to realize high-quality and winning price proposals together. You are the connecting link that ensures a solid foundation and successful outcomes for our projects.
