The role
As an Installation & Service technician, you are the one who realizes the entire installation on board. You ensure that our hardware is connected to all nautical equipment and that a connection is ultimately established with our software. Together with your colleagues from support, you ensure a flawless delivery so that the ship can use our products within no time. Are you looking for a new position where you are challenged daily to realize the best installation and contribute directly to sustainable, efficient, and safe inland shipping? Then you might be our new colleague!
Shipping Technology contributes to smarter, more efficient, and safer inland shipping. We do this, among other things, by connecting hardware on our customers' vessels. This allows the customer to use our software, providing them with real-time insight into their fleet and the ability to use our autonomous products. Our software is used by fleet managers, captains, and other stakeholders in the sector.
What you'll do
Installing and commissioning our equipment on new and existing vessels
Integrating our equipment with existing systems and network solutions
Performing maintenance and repairs
Troubleshooting malfunctions
Identifying and proposing improvements for customers and in our services
Maintaining your administration, technical documentation, and delivery reports
This is us
Shipping Technology is a leading player in the maritime sector, specializing in innovative technological solutions for the shipping industry. Our team consists of passionate professionals working together to improve the efficiency and sustainability of the maritime sector.
Personal
You enjoy taking on a different challenge every day. There is an enormous variety of vessels, and every day it is your task to set up the installation as perfectly as possible. To do this well, you ensure good preparation and that you have all necessary supplies in your vehicle. You have a problem-solving attitude and dare to show your creativity when things don't go exactly as planned.
Because we are dependent on a ship's schedule, we sometimes ask for a flexible attitude. Additionally, you like to show initiative, find it important to deliver your work neatly, and hopefully have an affinity with shipping and data science. And most importantly: you are a pleasant, cheerful colleague who enjoys working towards the same goal as all other ST colleagues. Namely: Every Ship a Smart Ship!
If you do not yet have experience in Inland Shipping, but would like to get to know the sector, we would also love to get in touch with you.
